Our Story: How Triple B Healing Began
My name is Gaby Breeuwer, I am 50 years old and have been living in Sweden with my husband Haro and our animals since March 2023. We now have four horses, two cats and our dog, Vinn.
The name Triple B comes from the three horses we already had in the Netherlands: Billy, Beau and Boots. In Sweden, Bran joined us in July 2023. All four of them have their own healing journey.
My husband and I have both been through quite a healing journey ourselves and are still working on it.
In August 2012, I ended up at home with severe burnout. My battery was flat and the alternator was broken. I was no longer recharging and couldn't do anything at all. Looking back, I had been pushing myself beyond my limits at work for many years and had never learned to protect myself from too many stimuli.
I have been riding horses all my life and have worked in stables all over the world. I couldn't do that anymore either, but I missed being around horses. That's why, at the end of 2020, I started looking for a horse to help take care of and ride.
In January 2021, I met Haro. I went there to help with Billy, who had been out of work for a long time. After two weeks, Haro and I hit it off, and on 14 February 2021, we had our first date without horses.
We quickly came up with the idea of moving abroad together after Haro retired. We decided on Sweden.
At the end of 2021, Haro, who had started losing weight unintentionally, underwent tests at the hospital. Tumours were found in/on his pancreas. During the operation, the head of the pancreas, the duodenum, gallbladder and part of the stomach were removed, a Whipple procedure. Fortunately, the tumours were benign.
But recovery ended up taking 8 months, with many complications and hospital admissions. In November, the hospital discovered there was no passage for the pancreatic juice. The only solution was another operation to remove the rest of the pancreas and spleen, resulting in type 1 diabetes.
Before his first operation, Haro weighed 85 kg. After his discharge from hospital in January 2023, he weighed only 59 kg, at a height of 1.92 m.
We left the Netherlands on 13 March 2023, and our horses joined us in Sweden at the beginning of July.
It certainly hasn't been easy, but it has made our relationship stronger. A year after our registered partnership, we got married, and I feel very proud when I call him my husband.
Through Triple B Healing, I share what we've learned along the way: about orthomolecular nutrition, cell health, and the body's self-healing capacity. Not as a replacement for medical care, but as a complement to it, from our own lived experience.
